Premier League giants Chelsea are set for an injection of funds over the weeks ahead, as Victor Moses prepares for a long-term future in Moscow.

Pensioners spell
Versatile wing-back Moses has been on the books at Stamford Bridge since all the way back in 2012.
The vast majority of his stint with the club, however, has been spent in loan spells away from west London.
Moses’ most fruitful spell in blue of course came under the watch of Antonio Conte, with the Nigerian having starred as the right-hand option in the Italian’s innovative back-5, en route to Premier League glory in the 2016-17 campaign.
Upon Conte’s departure, however, Moses quickly fell back down the Chelsea pecking order.
In turn, another series of loan spells away from the Premier League ensued, with the ex-Wigan man having gone on to line out for all of Fenerbahce, Inter Milan and, most recently, Spartak Moscow.
‘Automatically redeemed’
The latter of these stints, meanwhile, has since proven altogether successful.
Moses linked up with Spartak last October, for his first taste of Russian football.
And, despite some injury concerns, he has since gone on to impress, bagging four goals and two assists across appearances in 19 of the club’s 30 league outings:

Spartak, for their part, went on to finish 2nd in the 2020/21 Russian Premier League table, eight points adrift of champions Zenit St. Petersburg.
And, as confirmed on Thursday, the club’s final outing of the campaign, a 2-2 stalemate with Akhmat Grozny, has since resulted in a clause in Moses’ loan deal being triggered.
Speaking in an interview with RIA Novosti, Spartak’s press office revealed that their 2nd-place league finish being confirmed means the Nigerian’s long-term spell on Chelsea’s books is finally set to come to an end:
‘His contract would be automatically redeemed if the team finished in the top three, and we finished second.’
An insight into the kind of fee set to be secured by the Londoners has also been forthcoming, with Chelsea in line to receive an injection of around €4.5 million:
