Aaron Ramsey has been linked with a return to Arsenal since he left the club for Juventus in 2019. The Welshman has struggled somewhat for game time in Turin, making 22 Serie A appearances but starting just 8 of those from the off.
In those appearances, Ramsey has provided 2 goals and 5 assists, but has faced stiff competition for places from Arthur, Rodrigo Bentancur, Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie, all of whom have made as many if not more League appearances this campaign.
Now 30, Ramsey has a contract at Juventus that runs until 2023, meaning that he seems unlikely to be leaving The Old Lady any time soon. However, this does not prevent speculation linking him with a fairytale return to Arsenal from persisting.
However, David Baldwin, Aaron Ramsey’s agent, took to Twitter to rubbish the latest links with the North London outfit.
I’m sorry but can you stop making things up please. There is not a shred of truth in your tweet.
— David Baldwin (@The_Baldwinners) June 22, 2021
Baldwin demanded that the media “stop making things up”, continuing to say that there “is not a shred of truth” in the links.
When it was pointed out to him that the account in question was not the originator of the links, Baldwin said:
“Just to be clear, neither his tweet or the sources it came from are correct”.
Then just to be clear, neither his tweet or the sources it came from are correct!

Links between Arsenal and players at other clubs have seemingly been crawling out of the woodwork, with Nabil Fekir and Houssem Aouar both close to a move to the Emirates stadium, according to sources.
According to @tuttosport Real Betis expects Arsenal to make an official offer to sign Nabil Fekir in the coming days. #afc

Get Premier League Football understand that Arsenal are in serious talks with Olympique Lyon to sign French midfielder Houssem Aouar. His club value him at £30m and the negotiations between both clubs are going well and ‘very advanced’. #afc pic.twitter.com/g9n4M9Jrfp

Whilst Arsenal are indeed in the market for a creative midfielder, it seems unlikely that either of these rumours are true, with little noise about either deal emanating from other sources.
In all this hysteria, it is important to remember that you can only trust a deal when the club are announcing it.
