The transfer saga surrounding Harry Kane is set to intensify this summer with both Real Madrid and Man United in the running to sign him.

Kane wants ‘team trophies’
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been with the club for a significant number of years and has yet to win a major trophy.
The loss in the League Cup final at the weekend was another damaging blow to Spurs’ fans hopes that the England captain may remain with the club this summer.
Kane was given Player of the Year by the London Football Awards and whilst was grateful for the accolade, was more focused on the idea of winning team trophies.
“When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I’ll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies,” he said.
“As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes. We’re not quite doing that. It’s bittersweet, but it is what it is. I’m proud to win [Premier League Player of the Year], it’s been a good season on the pitch.”

Spurs are currently outside of the top 4 and not in any other cup competitions this season having been eliminated from the FA Cup and Europa League already.
Kane may be hinting at a ‘come and get me’ plea to clubs with the capacity to win silverware.

It is therefore unsurprising to see links to some of the major clubs across Europe.
The Times say that Real Madrid are ‘interested’ whilst Manchester United are ‘admirers’ of the forward.
Kane has big admirers on the Manchester United board and Real Madrid are said to be interested, though Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is also likely to be on the move this summer.
The situation with Manchester United is that Edinson Cavani is likely to leave. United have an option to extend the Uruguayan for a further year, however the striker is reported to want a move to Boca Juniors this summer.

This would open a gap for investment in the striking role and Kane would need little-to-no transition coming from a Premier League rival.
Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, now 33, has taken the protagonist role at the club since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo extremely well.

His performances have aided in minimising the loss of the Portuguese titan.
However, with just a year left on his deal, thoughts will turn to finding his replacement. Links to Erling Haaland are plenty, however, Kane may be a lower risk option, already in his prime and a consistent goalscorer at the top level.
