Euro Fantasy Football daily updates, July 3rd
The 2nd round of Euro 2020 quarter-final ties will play out on Saturday, July 3rd.
The first tie of the day will see the Czech Republic and Denmark face off. Both sides are fairly well matched and it should be a pretty close game.
The second and final tie of the day on Saturday then sees England and Ukraine face off in Rome.
England are very much favourites for this game and should be able to see Ukraine off pretty easily in 90 minutes, especially if they play anything like they did vs Germany in the last-16.
Injury news
Czech Republic: Vladimir Darida missed the Czech Republic’s last-16 triumph over the Netherlands with an unspecified injury.
It is not known if Darida will be back for Saturday’s game so it is probably best to avoid him at present.
Denmark: Daniel Wass missed Denmark’s last game through illness but should be back on Saturday.
Yussuf Poulsen also missed the Wales game with a knock. His involvement vs the Czech Republic has not been confirmed yet so it may be best to avoid selecting him.
Ukraine: Artem Besedin picked up an injury vs Sweden and is now out of Euro 2020:

Oleksandr Zubkov and Denys Popov are also potential doubts after picking up calf injuries recently.
England: England appear to have a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday’s tie in Rome
Top 3 players to pick: Stones, Sterling, Pickford
John Stones, England (5.7m)
With just two games taking place today, there are not an awful lot of options to chose from.
But given England are clear favourites in their game, whilst Denmark vs the Czech Republic should be closer, picking mostly Three Lions players will probably be your best bet today.
The first player you should look to pick is John Stones. England have a superb defensive record this summer and are the only side yet to concede a single goal.
John Stones has been integral to that and given England have only reached the European Championship semi-finals once before, it is hard to see Gareth Southgate dropping him for this game.
Raheem Sterling, England (9.7m)
Like Stones, Sterling has played every game for England at Euro 2020 so far.
This may cause some concern that Southgate will bench him vs Ukraine to hand him a rest.
However, as Sterling has scored three of England’s four goals at Euro 2020, dropping him for such a big game would be a huge risk and something Southgate probably does not want to do.
Jordan Pickford, England (5.7m)
The final player you should sign on Saturday is yet another England player.
Jordan Pickford is currently the top-scoring goalkeeper on EFF and the 4th highest points scorer currently left in the competition.
And given England have two very winnable games vs Ukraine then one of Denmark or the Czech Republic, another two clean sheets this summer does seem very likely for Pickford.
Captain of the day: Raheem Sterling, England
Given his importance to England’s attack this summer, Raheem Sterling as captain looks to be your best bet from the limited options on Saturday.
