Scott Parker departs the club
Fulham were without a manager for just one day, putting some clubs in London to shame.
The Cottagers announced Scott Parker’s departure yesterday, with the English boss having since taken over from former teammate Jonathan Woodgate at Bournemouth.

Woodgate had been in caretaker charge of Bournemouth since February 2021, leading the club into the play-offs before they fell to eventually promoted Brentford. It remains to be seen whether he will be happy to return to his position as a first-team coach, or whether the ex-defender will leave the club.
Scott Parker won many plaudits for his exciting brand of football with Fulham, but could not prevent them from being relegated from the Premier League in 2020-21, ultimately finishing 11 points away from safety.
However, he has had success in the Championship before, having guided the Cottagers to an immediate return to the top-flight in 2019/20, after their relegation the season prior.
The Englishman is highly thought of by those within the game, and there is a feeling that he could one day become a top manager. However, Bournemouth represent something of a test to his credentials.
Marco Silva incoming
Just 24 hours later, Fulham have revealed Parker’s replacement, Marco Silva.
The Portuguese manager has been out of work since December 2019, when a 5-2 defeat to Liverpool saw the then Everton boss fired from his position.

Silva has also enjoyed spells at Watford and Hull City, when both were in the Premier League, though he parted with each of his three English clubs closer to the relegation zone than the top half of the table.

Could he be the man to get Fulham back into the Premier League?
