Palace need a new boss
After taking the reins at Crystal Palace in September of 2017, Roy Hodgson would step down as their boss at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Hodgson had a number of decent seasons at Selhurst Park, managing to avoid relegation and often finish midtable with a fairly average side.
Now though, a new manager will be faced with some serious problems when they are appointed.
The Eagles have a fairly old squad, with a lot of players out of contract this month.
Star man Wilfried Zaha has also once again reiterated his desire to leave, whilst Eberechi Eze recently suffered an injury that could rule him out well into next season.
Favre turns down Crystal Palace
The man who did look set to be tasked with the aforementioned issues was ex-Wolves boss, Nuno Espirito Santo.
But Palace walked away from that deal after fresh demands from the Portuguese:

Then, in more recent days, Lucie Favre had been quite heavily linked with the Eagles.
Favre has been out of work since December of 2020 following a stint with Borussia Dortmund.
Now though, reports began to emerge late on Tuesday evening that Favre has now decided against taking up the role as Crystal Palace boss.
The Guardian reported that Favre had been due to sign his Palace contract on Thursday morning, but decided that he wanted to take a longer break from football and is not yet ready to return to management:
