That’s right, there has been yet another twist in Tottenham’s hunt to find a replacement for Jose Mourinho, who was sacked all the way back in April.

Tottenham can’t find a manager
Thus far, a number of high-profile names have been linked with the Spurs bench.
Julian Nagelsmann was said to have been of interest to the north London outfit, but he is now set to take over at Bayern Munich in the summer.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers had been tipped as a potential target, but he is believed to have confirmed that he is not interested in the job.
Ajax boss Erik ten Hag was also revealed to be of interest to the Lilywhites, but he then penned a new contract extension with the Dutch club until 2023.
Atalanta’s Gian Piero Gasperini was linked with the job, but he squashed those rumours pretty quickly.
Antonio Conte was then named as a target at the back end of last month, but the Italian has since explained why he decided against joining Spurs.
However, it appeared as though Spurs’ long search for a Mourinho replacement was at an end when it was reported on June 11th that former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca had agreed in principle to take over in north London.
Gattuso not joining Tottenham
However, incredibly, reports then emerged on Thursday that talks had broken down with Fonseca.
It was also claimed that Spurs would then attempt to now appoint Gennaro Gattuso.

Yet again though, on Friday morning, word has spread that Spurs will not be making Gattuso their boss.
As per The Athletic:
Tottenham’s protracted search for a new manager will continue after the north London club decided against appointing Gennaro Gattuso
The Athletic’s report also details the backlash Gattuso’s potential appointment had received from Spurs fans on social media.
This was in relation the historic comments allegedly made by the Italian about the role of women in football, same-sex marriage and racism:
