Report: Euro giants join Liverpool in the race to sign £70m star – originally posted on Sportslens.com
Juventus have now joined the race to sign Leicester City winger Youri Tielemans in the summer transfer window.
Tielemans is a key player for Brendan Rodger’s side, but the Belgian international has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
Premier League giants Liverpool are one of the clubs looking to sign the 24-year-old Belgian.
Leicester, obviously, are looking to keep the player with them, but in case he leaves, the Foxes will want a fee in the region of £70m for him.
Liverpool will be looking to bolster their attacking department this summer, and Tielemans would be a superb addition to the side.
However, fresh reports from Italy suggest that Juventus are looking to lure him away.
The Old Lady have been following the Belgian for a long time, and they now want the FA Cup winner.
Juventus have made contact with the player’s representatives already.
Should Liverpool move quickly?
Tielemans has been simply outstanding during his time at King Power Stadium. Last season, he scored four goals and provided six assists in the Premier League for the Foxes.
Liverpool will be looking to bolster their midfield following the departure of Gini Wijnaldum. But, they need to move quickly if they are serious about landing him.
The Reds are unlikely to spend that amount of money on a single player, especially after signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.
