Caglar Soyuncu’s Leicester stint
Caglar Soyuncu would join Leicester City in August of 2018 from German outfit SC Freiburg.
The centre-back is believed to have set the Foxes back just over £19m.
Since moving to England, Soyuncu has firmly cemented himself as a key cog in Leicester’s backline.
All told, the centre-back has notched 82 appearances across all competitions, playing a key role in them securing Europa League football two seasons in a row.
Soyuncu of interest to Man United
Now, the 25-year-old looks to be attracting the interest of Manchester United.
It is no secret to regular watches of the English game that Man United are lacking quality at centre-half.
Outside of Harry Maguire, United only real have Eric Bailly, who is quite injury prone, and Victor Lindelof, who is pretty unreliable, as centre-back options.
So, their reported interest in Soyuncu, who is still fairly young and has already impressed in the Premier League, makes a fair bit of sense.
And according to journalist Ekrem Konur, as Man United continue their search for a centre-back, they have put Soyuncu on their transfer list.
It is added that talks with Leicester City are scheduled to take place soon.
No potential fee is mentioned by Konur, but it is hard to see Leicester letting the Turkish international go on the cheap.
