Manchester United have been chasing the signature of Jadon Sancho for two summers, but finally seem to have got their man.
Sancho is currently in the England squad for Euro2020, but has only featured on one occasion for Gareth Southgate’s side, much to the bemusement of Bundesliga watchers and players alike.
Time to bring on Sancho…

As per the report, Borussia Dortmund had a gentleman’s agreement to sell Sancho if a club met their valuation, and Manchester United, after over a year of bluster and posturing, have finally coughed up the required cash.
The fee is reported to be 85 million euros (72.6 million pounds), before add-ons, which will take the entire deal to 90 million euros (77 million pounds).

A deal has been edging closer all summer, with the clubs having finally overcome the valuation barrier that has stalled the move for so long. An ex-Manchester City academy player, it will be interesting to see how he is received at Old Trafford.

The biggest question now on Manchester United fans’ lips will be how long it will take Sancho to get up to speed in the Premier League. Chelsea duo Kai Havertz and Timo Werner have already shown how difficult the transition can be from Germany, but United fans will be hoping that Sancho’s grounding in English youth football will give him a leg-up on Chelsea’s pair.
