Chelsea come from behind to down Man City
Manchester City and Chelsea went head-to-head on Saturday afternoon.
A victory for the former would have seen them secure a third Premier League title in five years.
And things certainly appeared to be heading that way when Raheem Sterling fired a much-changed City side into the lead after 44 minutes.
Sergio Aguero then had the chance to double the Sky Blues’ advantage from the spot in first-half injury-time.
However, Aguero’s poor penalty was easily saved by Edouard Mendy:
Oh no, Sergio ?

Chelsea then fought back in the second-half, eventually drawing level 63 minutes in via Hakim Ziyech.
And, right at the death, Marcos Alonso slotted home an injury-time winner to hand the Blues all three points, guiding them up to 3rd in the table.
Should Sterling have been given a penalty?
However, that result could have been very different had Man City been awarded another penalty in the clash.
Raheem Sterling would be played in behind the Chelsea backline and was through on goal.
However, the Englishman did not get a shot off and instead went to ground after pressure from Kurt Zouma.
No spot-kick was awarded at the time. But when speaking to Sky Sports on Monday, former referee Dermot Gallagher voiced his opinion that it should have been a penalty:
“I think, if the referee gives penalty on field Rob my words would be clumsy and we’d move on.
“I think because he doesn’t give a penalty that’s why we’re talking about it now. I look at that I just think it’s easy to give a penalty it’s a safer option it’s just, I can’t explain it well, I just think it’s a clumsy tackle he doesn’t get the ball and I think it should be a penalty.”
