The agent of Manchester United star Donny van de Beek has, on Thursday, responded to suggestions that his client could be on the move this summer.

VDB struggling
The name of Dutch midfielder van de Beek of course took centre stage at Old Trafford this past season.
Unfortunately for the 24-year-old, however, this was not always for the right reasons.
Instead, chatter, amongst fans and pundits alike, largely centered on van de Beek’s struggles for game-time.
The gifted midfielder made the big-money move to United during the summer, and was expected to quickly establish himself as a regular in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ranks in the middle of the park.
This, though, subsequently proved far from the case.
Instead, van de Beek, thus far, has been largely confined to substitute cameos. In fact, across his debut Premier League campaign, the former Ajax man was introduced off the bench on 15 occasions, to go along with a paltry four starts.
‘Conversation about next season’
In turn, following the opening of the summer transfer window last week, it has come as little surprise to see questions begin to mount surrounding van de Beek’s long-term future in Manchester.
A number of clubs are expected to express an interest in the Dutchman’s signature ahead of next season, ready to take advantage of VDB’s dwindling value.
The sidelined midfielder’s agent was therefore unsurprisingly drawn on the latest on his client’s future, during a chat with journalist Simon Zwartkruis this week.
Sjaak Swart, though, was quick to shut down any lingering chatter surrounding a potential Old Trafford exit:
“He (the agent) said it was complete bullshit,” Zwartkruis explained to Voetbal International.
“There has been a conversation with the trainer about next season.
“He just has to get fit quickly so that on day one, he is the strong Van de Beek they bought at the time.”
