A few weeks before the Tokyo Olympics, adidas unveils the Great Britain collection featuring the jersey of the women’s football team.
Although football is not a major sport of the Olympic Games, it is a competition that still has a particular importance in the eyes of some players, as we saw with Neymar in 2016 in Rio and even Kylian Mbappé who had expressed his desire to participate in the Tokyo Olympics. If the male teams must mainly select players under 23, this is not the case for the female teams who can bring back their heavy artillery. This will be the case for Great Britain, which will be able to field many players who played in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup in France such as the goalscorer Ellen White, who has just posed with the new shirt of Great Britain.
380 athletes, 30 sports – all united by one unique thing.

Unveiled this Thursday, May 6, the adidas x Great Britain collection for the Olympic Games features a football shirt based on the Condivo 20 model regularly used by the German brand to make the shirts of the biggest clubs. The home shirt is predominantly white with a touch of navy blue and a graphic print inspired by the flag of Great Britain found elsewhere on the left sleeve. On this jersey, we find the technology Aeroready moisture wicking and 100% recycled polyester to save resources and reduce CO2 emissions. A great initiative from the German brand showing that it is possible to combine quality with sustainability.
These jerseys are already available on the adidas store and also exist in versions dedicated to men and children. The countdown is on before the Tokyo Games!
