A pair of noteworthy developments surrounding Arsenal have been forthcoming online this evening, as the Gunners face off with Villarreal.

Xhaka misses out
The first surrounds a last-minute change-up to the club’s starting line-up.
Ahead of what is widely viewed as his side’s most important outing of the season to date, Mikel Arteta somewhat surprisingly opted to shake things up with his team selection this evening.
The Spaniard opted to reintroduce Hector Bellerin at right-back, with Thomas Partey joined in a new-look midfield three by Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe:
? Here’s our team to face Villarreal!

At the last minute, though, Arteta was forced to shuffle his pack once again.
This came after confirmation was forthcoming that Granit Xhaka had picked up an injury during the warm-up, forcing Kieran Tierney, who has only just returned from a spell on the sidelines, in from the off:
? There’s been a late change to our team…

‘Good ebening’
Elsewhere on the Arsenal front, meanwhile, the club’s stars were, ahead of kick-off, wished good luck by a familiar face.
Taking to social media in the buildup to the clash, Mesut Ozil posted a message of support, revealing his hope that his former teammates manage to ‘turn this game around’ in north London.
It is not the well-wishes on the part of the German, though, which have since piqued attentions.
Instead, it has been the inclusion of a lighthearted dig at Villarreal boss Unai Emery, whom Ozil of course played under during the pair’s time together at the Emirates:
Good ebening, Gunners! ? I hope my former teammates will turn this game around tonight – let’s go! ???? #YaGunnersYa #COYG #UEL
