The showdown between West Ham United and Everton this evening has seen both sides dealt concerning blows on the personnel front.

DCL on target
The Hammers and Toffees are of course currently locked in action at the London Stadium.
The clash marks a crucial one in the Premier League’s battle for European football, with hosts West Ham, ahead of kick, off, having been sitting pretty in 5th.
Carlo Ancelotti’s visitors, on the other hand, sat 8th, but aware that a victory would guide them to within three points of their hosts on Sunday.
And, as things stand, all three points is precisely what the Merseysiders are headed towards.
Deep in the 2nd-half, the European hopefuls are separated by a solitary goal, after Dominic Calvert-Lewin latched onto Ben Godfrey’s defence-splitting pass to slot beyond Lukasz Fabianski:

Injuries mounting
As outlined above, though, the all-action nature of the exchanges in the capital, to this point, have come at a cost.
During the 2nd-half of play, both sides were forced into changes, after seeing defenders pick up respective fitness concerns.
First, shortly before the hour mark, West Ham’s injury woes were added to, when Aaron Cresswell, despite a concerted effort to continue, was eventually forced to succumb to an unspecified issue:
This doesn’t look good for Aaron Cresswell.

Then, just minutes later, it was Everton’s turn to feel the wrath of the late season injury bug, as Yerry Mina pulled up with what appeared to be a muscle issue of his own, before being replaced by Mason Holgate:

When it comes to Fantasy Football implications, owners of Mina will no doubt breathe a sigh of relief, after the stopper exited the fray just past the hour mark, meaning his clean sheet bonus was secured.
Cresswell owners, on the other hand, will be cursing their luck, with the West Ham man having conceded, before being hauled off just before the 60-minute mark, meaning a points blank will be incoming this weekend.
