Which one of these two clubs will keep alive their hopes of returning to the football league?

Notts County had been in England’s top-four tier throughout their entire history, starting in 1877 until they were relegated from League Two in 2019.

Now, at the second attempt, the Magpies are looking to return to the EFL.

Ian Burchnall’s side finished fifth in the regular season so faced Chesterfield in the quarter-final round of the play-offs, coming from behind twice to win 3-2.

Torquay United meanwhile will come into this one as favourites having finished second in the table, just four points behind champions Sutton United.

The Gulls are looking to return to League Two for the first time since 2013/14.

The winners of this tie will play either Stockport County or Hartlepool United in the play-off final at Ashton Gate next Sunday.
