Belgium stars Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard emerged from the bench this evening, to guide their side to a key victory over Denmark.

KDB decides it
Roberto Martinez’s men were back in action a short time ago. The Red Devils made the trip to Copenhagen, for a Group B showdown with Denmark.
Belgium of course headed into proceedings as heavy favourites, on the back of a comfortable 3-0 victory over Russia in their Euro 2020 opener at the weekend.
And, when all was said and done at Parken Stadium, the visitors, as expected, made it two wins from two.
Amid emotional scenes on the back of Christian Eriksen’s cardiac arrest during the opening round of fixtures, Denmark took the lead inside two minutes, when Yussuf Poulsen picked out the far corner of Thibaut Courtois’ net:

The quality and, more than anything, strength in depth boasted by the Belgians, however, eventually proved telling.
First, less than minutes after being introduced to the fray, Kevin De Bruyne squared for Thorgan Hazard to sweep home a Red Devils equaliser, early in the 2nd-half.
Then, twenty minutes from time, De Bruyne turned goalscorer, as Thorgan’s brother, Eden Hazard, laid on for the Manchester City midfielder to lash home a wonderful left-footed strike from the edge of the area:

History makers
Belgium, in turn, have now booked their spot in the knockout rounds of Euro 2020.
As outlined above, however, their eventual victory did not prove the only talking point stemming from the Red Devils’ meeting with Denmark this evening.
This comes with both Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne having secured a small piece of history for themselves.
In teeing up Thorgan Hazard’s equaliser, De Bruyne became the only European player to have laid on an assist at each of the last four major international tournaments.
Remarkably, though, just fifteen minutes later, Eden Hazard matched the feat of the Man City standout, in laying on KDB’s eventual winner:
9 – Since the 2014 World Cup, Eden Hazard has made more assists than any other European player in major international tournaments (9); Hazard also joins Kevin De Bruyne as the only two Europeans to assist a goal in each of the last four major tournaments. Pedigree. #BEL #EURO2020
