The transfer window continues for equipment manufacturers and adidas is making a comeback as an official partner of Standard de Liège by succeeding New Balance, which has been equipping the club since the 2017-2018 season.
The two parties have reached an agreement to sign a contract which will begin in the 2021-2022 season. The brand with the three stripes will therefore be on the Rouches jerseys again after two successful collaborations between 1976-1981 and 1987-2003. As part of this collaboration, adidas will supply all Standard teams, including young players at the training center and staff members.

Gavin Thomson: “As a sports brand, we are always looking for strong partners who match our brand values. This renewed collaboration with a passionate football club like Standard fits perfectly into this perspective. We proudly look at our shared history, while looking forward to adding more chapters with the club and the fans ”, says Gavin Thomas, adidas Executive Vice President and General Manager for Northern Europe.
“It is a great pleasure and a great pride for us to renew our relationship with a legendary equipment manufacturer considered as a reference by all. Our club and adidas share the same values which are so dear to our supporters and we intend to offer them a lot of fun and emotions together in the seasons to come, as we have in the past ”, reports the Director General of the Belgian club Alexandre Grosjean.
For Liege supporters, all future items designed by the German equipment manufacturer will be exclusively available through the club’s official shops as well as on the online store.
