Manchester United have reportedly come to the decision to part ways with Anthony Martial, if a deal for Jadon Sancho is finally struck over the weeks ahead.

BVB starlet incoming
Speculation linking Borussia Dortmund talent Sancho with an Old Trafford switch has of course picked up in a major way over the last 24 hours.
As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to eye up reinforcements out wide ahead of the 2021/22 campaign, the English international has long been named as the United boss’ no.1 target.
Sancho, despite his struggles for game-time at the European Championships, of course remains one of world football’s most highly regarded young talents. All told, across 38 appearances this past season, the 21-year-old racked up a hefty 16 goals and 15 assists.
And, if the latest word doing the rounds in the media on Friday is anything to go by, then it appears that this summer may mark the one which sees the Red Devils finally get their man.
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sancho has ‘never been so close’ to Old Trafford, with only a small gap in valuation now present between Dortmund and United:

Martial to make way?
As outlined above, though, whilst Sancho’s prospective arrival may mark positive news for the vast majority of those at Old Trafford, it looks set to prove costly for one member of Solskjaer’s squad in particular.
The player in question? Anthony Martial.
As per a report from The Mirror’s David McDonnell – who echoes the suggestion that Sancho’s Manchester switch is on the verge of coming to fruition – Martial is ‘expected to be the major casualty of the deal’.
The French international, fresh off the back of an altogether underwhelming campaign, is likely to be moved on, to create further space in United’s frontline.
One club, meanwhile, tipped as a potential landing spot for Martial are the Red Devils’ Premier League rivals, Tottenham.
