Italy dominant
The European Championships are now in full swing and one league in particular is being represented extremely well.
Italy kicked off the tournament with a 3-0 win over Turkey.
The Italians looked exceptionally dominant in the game and the likes of Lorenzo Insigne, Ciro Immobile and Leonardo Spinazzola standing out. Manuel Locatelli’s brace against Switzerland also got many plaudits.
Roberto Mancini is receiving a lot of love from his country and there is an expectation that the country will top the group with maximum points after a win over Wales tonight in Rome.

However, it is not only players representing the Italian national side which are bossing the tournament.
Serie A stands out
Whilst Italy are reaping the rewards of their strong squad, other nations too are seeing success with players plying their trade in Serie A.
Replying to an amusing tweet from German reporter Raphael Honigstein, in which he detailed that Thomas Muller had made a joke about the amount of running happening in Serie A to Robin Gosens, James Horncastle replied showing the number of Serie A star-of-the-match winners from the league their were at Euro 2020.

Italy’s Spinazzola and Locatelli hold one each, from Roma and Sassuolo.
Gosens is now the 9th player to have won the accolade. Christian Eriksen of Denmark was also awarded the honour in the match with Finland. The Inter midfielder collapsed and fought for his life before being discharged from hospital yesterday.
“Football is a beautiful game and Christian plays it beautifully,” says UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin.
