The screaming topless Swiss fan vs France
A Swiss fan was catapulted into internet stardom on Monday night at Euro 2020 as the Alpine nation defied the odds to knock out France in the last-16.
In the final stages of the match, which ended with the Swiss beating the French 5-4 in a penalty shootout, the cameras locked in on one emotional Swiss supporter.
The fan was initially pictured in complete agony as the Swiss trailed France 3-2 in the 89th minute.
But, after Mario Gavranovic dramatically equalised for the underdogs, the Swiss fan was next spotted losing his mind, screaming, and without his top on.
In that instant, an overnight viral meme star was born.
The Swiss fan is found. His name is Luca Loutenbach
On Tuesday morning, Swiss daily Blick have published an interview with the now-famous Swiss fan.
His name is Luca Loutenbach, and he’s 28-years-old.

Luca Loutenbach reveals impact of becoming an overnight viral meme
So what’s it like becoming famous overnight? Luca Loutenbach told Blick the following:
I don’t know what’s happening to me.
I think everyone I know has written to me.
I didn’t have a network connection during the game. But some fans around me were connected to the internet and quickly realised what was happening.
What an incredible buzz!
Luca Loutenbach also told Blick that he’s watched the Swiss side “about 50 times” live, while he was present at every qualifier the Swiss had for Euro 2020.
Also, Luca Loutenbach has been at Switzerland’s games against Wales and Turkey this summer. He said:
I try to never miss a game as much as possible. But it was logistically almost impossible to make the round trip Baku-Rome-Baku.
It’s the most beautiful day in the history of Swiss football: let’s not be afraid of these words.
It is the accomplishment of the immense work of the Swiss FA, of Petkovic and of the whole team.
What else do we know about Luca Loutenbach?

Finally, Luca Loutenbach is an amateur footballer for a team called FC Rebeuvelier, who compete in the 5th Jura league.
