New man at the helm
English boss Scott Parker is set to leave Fulham in the coming days to take up the vacant manager role at AFC Bournemouth.
Scott Parker to leave his role as Fulham head coach in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Earlier this month, 101 reported that Parker was top of the Cherries’ wanted list as they hunted for a new head coach, and it appears as though the South Coast side have finally got their man.
Jonathan Woodgate, a one-time teammate of Parker, has been in caretaker charge of Bournemouth since February 2021, leading the club into the playoffs before they fell foul to eventual winners Brentford. It remains to be seen whether he will be happy to return to his position as a first-team coach, or whether he will leave the club.
Parker’s tricky season
Scott Parker’s Fulham won a lot of plaudits for the expressive and exciting football on show, but they were not able to defy the odds and stay in the Premier League, finishing eleven points off safety.
However, he has had success in the Championship before, getting the Cottagers promoted in the first place in the 2019/20 season after their 2018/19 relegation from the top flight.
Such was his perceived success that he was considered for the Tottenham job, although to be fair, who isn’t these days?

The Englishman is highly thought of by those within the game, and there is the feeling that he could one day become a top manager. However, Bournemouth represent something of a test to his credentials.
The Cherries are still yet to properly replace Eddie Howe, who left the club in August 2020 after failing to prevent relegation. However, the Englishman kept the Cherries punching well above their weight in the Premier League before his ultimately fateful final season.
The club hierarchy will be hoping that in Parker, they will land another Englishman capable of the same.
