EFF Daily, June 22nd updates
The penultimate day of Euro 2020 group stage action gets underway on Tuesday.
There are just two ties taking place on the day, both of which are from Group D.
Croatia will face off with Scotland in one tie. The former need to win and then hope the remaining Group D game ends in one side coming away with the win.
Scotland, on the other hand, have to beat Croatia to stand any chance of securing enough points to make it into the last 16.
The remaining tie on Tuesday, of course, sees England host the Czech Republic. The Three Lions endured a rather disappointing outing last time out, but can still top the group by beating their opponents this week.
Injury news
Croatia: Borna Barisic has missed Croatia’s first two games with a back issue and his involvement vs Scotland remains up in the air.

Czech Republic: Patrik Schick is having some trouble breathing after being elbowed vs Croatia last time out, but he should be fine to face England.
“The good thing is that my nose is not broken, it’s just a bit swollen. I’m having a bit of trouble breathing.”
England: England do not have any new injury concerns ahead of facing the Czech Republic. It was reported on Monday that Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are isolating after coming into contact with Billy Gilmour, putting their participation vs the Czech Republic up in the air.
Top 3 players to pick: Harry Kane, John Stones, Ivan Perisic
Harry Kane, England (11.5m)
With just two games to pick from, there are not an awful lot of top players to chose for your side.
And, after the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount and Reece James underwhelmed vs Scotland, you would assume England will make some changes this match week.
One player who is a guaranteed starter, however, is Harry Kane. Kane has been pretty average at Euro 2020 so far. But he is due a goal and, most importantly, Gareth Southgate has stated Kane will be starting against the Czech Republic:

John Stones, England (5.5m)
Likes Kane, John Stones is almost guaranteed to be starting on Tuesday.
England do not boast a lot of quality at the back, and if Harry Maguire returns, it is likely to be for Tyrone Mings as it was quite obvious heading into Euro 2020 that Maguire and Stones were the Three Lions’ main centre-back pairing.
And, whilst England are not excelling in attack, their defence has been pretty solid of late, with another clean sheet vs the Czech Republic very much on the cards.
Ivan Perisic, Croatia (8.5m)
If you do not wish to pick an England player though, your next best option is Ivan Perisic.
The winger is one of Croatia’s deadliest players and is likely to be involved in any goals vs Scotland.
Perisic also had a solid showing vs the Czech Republic and would score Croatia’s only goal of the game.

Captain of the day: Harry Kane, England
There are not an awful lot of great captain choices on Tuesday, so you are probably better served picking someone from another day.
However, if you do wish to pick a captain from today, Harry Kane could be a decent option.
