Griezmann nets
Koeman and co. of course rounded out their campaign a short time ago.
The Blaugrana, until recently in the thick of the La Liga title race, actually had little more than pride to play for in the final round of Spanish top-flight fixtures.
This came with a stretch of just one win from their last 5 having seen Barca slip a full seven points adrift of table-topping Atletico Madrid.
Diego Simeone’s men, for their part, went on to get the job done this evening, rubbing salt in the wounds of those at the Camp Nou, as Luiz Suarez bagged the all-important winner in a 2-1 win over Real Valladolid:

Barca, though, to their credit, also saw out their season with a 3-point haul.
A solitary goal, netted by Antoine Griezmann in spectacular fashion ten minutes from time, proved enough to guide the Blaugrana beyond Eibar:
While all of that drama was playing out in the title race, Antoine Griezmann did THIS! ?

‘I have a contract’
Despite their final day win, though, Barcelona’s campaign, as a whole, will of course be viewed as a failure.
A 3rd-place La Liga finish is some way short of what is expected of a side featuring the talents of Lionel Messi, Frenkie De Jong, Griezmann and more, with the less said about the Catalan giants’ latest efforts on the European stage the better.
In turn, pressure has begun to mount on Ronald Koeman, amid suggestions that the hierarchy at the Camp Nou are already eyeing up potential replacements for the Dutchman.
It therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his future took centre stage in Koeman’s post-match interview this evening.
The Barca boss, however, seemingly remains quietly confident in his chances of continuing in Catalunya beyond the summer, having explained:
Ronald Koeman: “I don’t think this is going to be my last game. I have a contract, there is a lot of talk about this issue but I am calm. If the club wants to change something, then they will have to talk to me” #FCB ??
