To celebrate the 60th anniversary of its main sponsor Auchan, RC Lens unveils a special jersey that will be worn this Friday evening against Lille.
A few hours from the hot and important North derby where the Sang et Or will try everything to get closer to the Europa League and deprive the Mastiffs of the Ligue 1 title, the club has just announced that a special tunic will be worn in the honor of Auchan, main and emblematic partner of the club for more than 40 years.
Together, the two entities have known everything, the Intertoto Cup in 2005, national titles and even relegations in Ligue 2 but nothing has ever separated them. Today, RC Lens pays homage to its most faithful partner by slipping a “60 Years” flocking with the famous A d’Auchan and his bird on the front of the jersey to replace the usual “Auchan” flocking.

“This year, Auchan is celebrating its 60th anniversary. And since then, our group has always been close to the Blood and Gold since we have been partners for more than 40 years. This jersey unveiled on the occasion of the derby recalls this history and this proximity to RC Lens. How not to be proud and impressed by the current season that the club is living and which echoes that of 1961 (60 years already!) Which had seen the club, already, finish in the first places of the classification at the time. We are looking forward, like all the supporters, to being able to return to the stadium to support the team. I hope that Auchan employees experience this derby with a lot of pleasure and emotion ”, said Auchan France General Manager Jean-Denis Deweine in the club’s press release.
