This end of the season in the 5 major European championships was important both from a sporting and marketing point of view, since many clubs and equipment suppliers took the opportunity to present new tunics for the 2021-2022 season. In the Bundesliga, Nike surfed on Wolfsburg’s Champions League qualification by revealing the club’s home and away shirts ahead of the match against Mainz on Saturday 22 May.

Equipped by Nike since the 2016-2017 season, the former club of Kevin de Bruyne retains its historic colors, and this, on its two new tunics, which is quite rare to be underlined. For the second consecutive season, the comma brand unveils two tunics in two different green hues while the equipment manufacturers often unveil original colors on the away jerseys.
In recent years, neon green has taken an important place on the Wolfsburg side, so much so that it has replaced the more traditional green on the main tunic. A sort of camouflage inspired by the automotive world appears in tone on tone on the jersey while we find a touch of dark green on the logo of the sponsor jersey “Volkswagen”. White, historically very present on the shirts of the club founded in 1945, is making a comeback at the bottom of the sleeves, the comma and the collar.
For the second jersey, a dark green reminiscent of the club’s jerseys of yesteryear was therefore preferred to the white or blue often present on the outer tunics. As on the home jersey, the Volkswagen logo is presented in another shade of green, which this time is neon and which can also be found on the Nike comma and the collar. On the shoulders and sleeves, there is a lighter green than that used on the front of the jersey.
