Blues downed
The Gunners’ U18 outfit were back in action last night, in a final day Premier League South showdown with London rivals Chelsea.
Arsenal headed into proceedings at Cobham aiming to end their campaign on a high, having looked thoroughly impressive over the last couple of weeks, en route to putting 6 and 5 past Reading and Aston Villa respectively.
And, when all was said and done in west London, keep alive such fine form is precisely what Ken Gillard’s men managed.
Miguel Azeez opened Wednesday’s scoring just beyond the quarter of an hour mark, before Jack Henry-Francis doubled Arsenal’s advantage on the stroke of the interval.
Chelsea, to their credit, did manage to pull one back midway through the 2nd-half, through Joe Haigh.
The Pensioners starlet’s strike, though, ultimately proved little more than a consolation, as Arsenal climbed to 4th in the U18 Premier League South table, ensuring that they will finish clear of their capital rivals in the process.

Solo stunner
As outlined above, though, whilst the Gunners’ impressive win, in and of itself, garnered attention, it was one of the goals netted by Gillard’s outfit at Cobham which has since gone viral online.
As outlined above, the finish came courtesy of Miguel Azeez, long viewed as one of the most gifted young talents on the books in north London.
The goal in question saw Azeez pick up the ball near the halfway line, before driving towards the edge of the Chelsea area.
From here, the midfielder, already a regular at U23 level, showcased his eye-catching footwork and balance, skipping beyond no fewer than four Blues defenders, before picking out the far corner with a fine left-footed strike:
