Manchester United vs Liverpool postponed
The Premier League fixture list was complicated on Sunday after the match between Manchester United and Liverpool was postponed following a fans’ protest at Old Trafford.
On Sunday, Stan Collymore suggested that the United-Liverpool match could be rescheduled for today: Monday, May 3, 2021.
However, it has since become apparent that the game will not played today, but rather at a later date.

So when will the Manchester United vs Liverpool match be played?
At the time of writing, there is no definitive answer as to when the Man United versus Liverpool match will actually happen.
However, in the Times, it’s suggested that the match may now have to wait until the very end of the season:
The match could now be rescheduled for the day after the FA Cup final on Sunday May 16, although that would involve Liverpool moving their game against West Bromwich Albion to a free midweek slot.
Liverpool are due to play West Brom on May 16.
Will Manchester United be docked Premier League points?
In the Mirror on Monday, the suggestion is floated that Manchester United could face a points deduction following Sunday’s protest against Liverpool.
For the record, this was the first time in Premier League history that a match was postponed due to a fans’ protest.
The Mirror believe there’s a chance United now lose points as a result, although the red-top admits that the current landscape on this issue is unclear:
Manchester United could be deducted points as Premier League and FA rules contradict one another on postponements.
According to the FA’s rulebook in section 8.3.4, it states that United could be found to have been at fault for the match not going ahead and see Liverpool awarded three points.
With both clubs agreeing to the decision to postpone the match, it remains to be seen whether any sanctions will come into effect.
It would be completely unprecedented for the Premier League to directly punish (point deductions) Manchester United as a result of behaviour from their supporters and, therefore, that is extremely unlikely. (M.E.N) #MUFC
