Liverpool’s supporters have flooded to social media on Friday afternoon, to call for the summer signing of Alexander Isak.

Forsberg decides it
Isak was of course in action a short time ago, in Sweden’s 2nd Euro 2020 group stage outing, versus Slovakia.
Janne Andersson’s men headed into proceedings aiming to build on a solid opening result, when they secured a credible draw versus heavyweights Spain.
And, when all was said and done this afternoon, build on their opening day point is precisely what the Blue and Yellow managed.
A tense affair at the Krestovsky Stadium was eventually decided by a solitary goal, a little over ten minutes from time.
After Robin Quaison was felled by Martin Dubravka in the Slovakia box, Emil Forsberg stepped up to slot the ensuing spot-kick away with aplomb, guiding Sweden onto 4 points, and, crucially, clear of Slovakia in the Group E table.

Reds want Isak
Whilst it was Forsberg who, when all was said and done, made the difference in Saint Petersburg on Friday, however, it was in fact another of Sweden’s stars who went on to steal the headlines.
The player in question? Alexander Isak.
After shining in his country’s meeting with Spain earlier in the week, hitman Isak was in dazzling form once again this afternoon, standing head and shoulders above every other player on the pitch.
The 21-year-old showcased the complete repertoire of a modern centre-forward, holding the ball up superbly, linking play, beating opposing defenders at will, and threatening in front of goal.

In turn, it has since come as little surprise to see Isak singled out for widespread praise online.
As outlined above, though, one set of fans to have had their attentions particularly piqued were those of a Liverpool persuasion.
With Roberto Firmino having of course endured a less than impressive campaign in front of goal, and Diogo Jota far from a traditional centre-forward, calls have begun to mount for the arrival of a new striker at Anfield ahead of next season.
And, if the Twitter reaction to Sweden’s win over Slovakia is anything to go by, then Isak looks the clear-cut first-choice target on the part of the Reds faithful:
• Still only 21
• 19 G/As in 34 in La Liga
• Aerial presence
• Great dribbler

Sacrifice signing a midfielder. Roll with what we have and buy Raphinha and Isak, change the shape to 4-4-2.
