SL View: Ideal goalscoring presence in the midfield for the Reds
Jurgen Klopp needs to bring in a quality long term replacement for Gini Wijnaldum and the German international seems like an ideal fit.
Although the Gladbach star plays a more advanced role, he could be the ideal replacement for the Dutchman.
Liverpool do not need to bring in a like for like replacement for Wijnaldum and bringing in a goalscoring midfielder would be a wise move for them.
The Reds have deep-lying playmakers like Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita at their disposal but they are lacking a midfielder who can create and score goals consistently.
The 24-year-old picked up 8 goals and 8 assists in all competitions this past season.
