Premier League outfit Leicester City are on the verge of closing a deal for Lille star Boubacary Soumare, according to reports.

Foxes stumbling
Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester have of course endured another fine campaign to date.
Amid the struggles of a number of the Premier League’s established ‘big 6’, the Foxes have stepped up in a major way, to position themselves firmly in the hunt for a Champions League berth.
As things stand, the King Power outfit sit in 4th, five points clear of 5th-placed West Ham.
The last couple of weeks, though, have seen the wear and tear of an intense campaign begin to take its toll on Leicester’s squad.
A 1-1 stalemate with struggling Southampton was followed by a shock 4-2 defeat at home to Newcastle last time out, leaving the Foxes faithful with flashbacks of last season’s late top-4 collapse.

Lille star eyed
In turn, it goes without saying that, should Rodgers and co. hold their nerve, and go on to clinch a Champions League spot for next season, major reinforcements will be required.
And, as outlined above, on Monday, an insight into one likely summer arrival at the King Power has been forthcoming.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Foxes are down to the ‘last details’ in a swoop for Lille star Boubacary Soumare.
Midfielder Soumare has long been viewed as one of the most highly-regarded young talents in France, and has played a central role in Lille’s shock charge towards the Ligue 1 title this season.
Romano, though, confirms that the 22-year-old has long agreed to the personal terms of a contract with Leicester, through to 2026.
A fee of ‘less than €30m’ has been settled upon between the two clubs, with an official announcement regarding the transfer seemingly inching ever closer.
Boubacary Soumaré also agreed personal terms with Leicester in February, contract almost ready until June 2026. The deal is set to be completed for less than €30m paid to Lille – last details then ‘here we go’ confirmed. ?? #LCFC #Lille https://t.co/QJtHDhpsRL
