Jorge Sampaoli dismisses several OM players for the end of the season

According to information from RMC, the volcanic Argentine coach has decided to remove several elements of the professional group to play the last two meetings. Since Wednesday, four players are no longer part of the collective training. They are Michaël Cuisance, Saîf-Eddine Khaoui, Valère Germain and Christopher Rocchia. The first three cities are content with indoor physical exercises (weight training, cycling) to keep in shape until the end of the season. Rocchia was squarely sent back to train with the young people of the training center. In other words, he’s gone back to where he came from.

A decision not very well seen in the workforce

This decision may seem a bit exaggerated but the four players will no longer be at OM in a few weeks. Cuisance is on loan from Bayern Munich and will not be kept while the other three are all coming to the end of their contract. Germain has not appeared once on the field with Sampaoli, while Cuisance has played only 121 minutes of play (only one start). Khaoui had a little more luck, settling for 143 minutes before disappearing in April.

“We train with a group to try to reinforce emotional situations and see who we can count on against Angers. There are a lot of things that create confusion about the end of the season: players who are going to leave, players who would like to stay but who will leave, players who want to leave but will stay… The most important task for me, as a coach, is to find the players who are closest to what we are asking for this match ”, explained a little earlier in the day the technician in a press conference.

Caleta-Car annoys the staff

According to RMC, this news must have been difficult to pass within the group. Some players find it disproportionate especially as among the elements excluded, some were irreproachable in their involvement in training. Others are afraid of being next on the list, especially if they know they are at the end of the adventure at OM. This is obviously not the case for everyone since Thauvin and Sakai are still part of the plans. Caleta-Car is the subject of criticism from the staff, considering the defender’s performance disappointing. It could also not start against Angers this weekend.
