Manchester United close on Varane & Sancho
Yesterday it was announced that Manchester United had ‘agreed a deal in principle’ with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.
The figure is said to be in excess of £70 million with multiple sources suggesting conflicting information about the add-ons included.

However, Manchester United are also closing in on another marquee figure.
Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is said to want a move from Spain to the northwest of England.
Varane has been in the Spanish capital since he was a youngster joining from Lens.
Having won multiple Champions League, La Liga titles and international accolades, he has decided to bring time on his career. Man Utd are the side looking to prosper and Varane is also keen on the move.

How could United line-up?
Should the Red Devils pull off both signings their team dramatically improves.
United have been struggling to find a consistent partner for £80m Harry Maguire.
The former Leicester City man has seen the injury hit Victor Lindelöf and Eric Bailly both play in the role. Furthermore, Axel Tuanzebe has also been used.
Now, with Varane, United have a excellent pairing. Varane’s mobility with Maguire’s distribution is bound to marry nicely.

Regarding Sancho, the front line with Edinson Cavani resigning will likely see Marcus Rashford continue in a wider berth. Bruno Fernandes is set to take up the number 10 role with Paul Pogba and one of Scot McTominay or Fred partnering – unless of course further reinforcement is brought in centrally.
On the right is where Sancho is likely to be fielded although he can play on either flank. Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood set to become options of rotation and depth. Daniel James and Amad Traore are further options for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to consider.
The likely line-up barring any further signings:
Henderson, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, Pogba, Fernandes, Sancho, Rashford, Cavani.
Is that enough for United to compete for the title next season?
