Manchester United starlet Arnau Puigmal has this evening confirmed that his adventure with the club will come to an end in the summer.

Reds stint
Puigmal, 20, has long stood as one of the most highly-regarded talents on the red half of Manchester.
The Spaniard made the move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2017, after catching the eye of the Red Devils’ scouts amid a series of starring performances in Espanyol’s youth setup.
Puigmal, in turn, had since gone on to climb through the ranks at United, impressing onlookers courtesy of a fine blend of technique, ball-carrying ability and eye for goal.
The youngster is a central midfield by trade, but also more than capable of lining out on the wing, or even at full-back.

Arnau Puigmal’s brilliant free-kick gave the Reds the lead before Matej Kovar saved Ben Liddle’s penalty. In stoppage time, Puigmal scored his second from a Tahith Chong centre.

Puigmal was first handed a call-up to the Reds’ first-team setup late in 2019, for a Europa League meeting with Astana.
Since, though, the ex-Espanyol man struggled to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams and Shola Shoretire, all of whom have of course caught the eye of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
This, however, has not come courtesy of a lack of trying on Puigmal’s part.
In fact, at one point early in the campaign, the Spanish talent stood as the top scorer for Neil Wood’s U23 outfit. All told, despite a host of fitness problems, Puigmal went on to notch six goals and three assists across nine Premier League 2 appearances this season – a stellar record for a midfielder.
Exit incoming
But, as outlined above, despite his evident talent, and room for growth, Puigmal’s future looks set to lie away from Old Trafford.
Taking to social media this evening, the midfielder announced his intention to move on this summer, in search of a new challenge. He is now expected to return to Spain.
Puigmal made sure to thank those who aided his development during his 4-year stint in Manchester, though, as well as assuring that he will ‘always remain a red’:
Puigmal’s Instagram post has since been responded to by a host of other young talent currently plying their trade on United’s books, all of whom were keen to wish their soon-to-be ex-teammate the best of luck in his future endeavours:
