Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has, on Friday, provided fitness updates on a trio of his side’s stars.

First Villa, then City
Tuchel and co. are of course preparing for a crunch pair of outings over the week ahead.
The Blues will first make the trip to Villa Park on Sunday evening, for a Premier League meeting with Aston Villa.
The clash marks an integral one when it comes to Chelsea’s season targets, with the Londoners yet to make sure of their spot in the top-4.
As things stand, they sit in 3rd, but could yet be leapfrogged by both Liverpool and Leicester City on the final day.
Should the worst come to fruition for Chelsea, and the capital outfit miss out on a top-4 berth at the final hurdle, though, they will have the chance to redeem themselves just days later, in a meeting with Manchester City.
This comes with Thomas Tuchel’s men set to face off with the Citizens in the finale of the Champions League on Saturday, May 29th.
Christensen boost
In turn, it goes without saying that all associated with the Blues will be desperate for their side to be as close to full strength as possible, ahead of what could prove to be a telling week in the club’s recent history.
And, as outlined above, Thomas Tuchel today provided an update on the current wellbeing of his squad.
Speaking in a pre-Aston Villa press conference, the German first confirmed that Andreas Christensen, on the back of a spell out of action, is now available for selection once more:
‘Andreas Christensen will be in the squad, he did full training today and also yesterday without any problems. So he will be back.’
Then came updates on Kai Havertz and N’Golo Kante, both of whom, if not fit enough to face Villa, look set to return to the fray in time for the Champions League final:
‘Kai Havertz did a test today and will be testing in team training tomorrow.’
‘And with NG it’s going to be very close, but still some hopes he maybe joins team training tomorrow. But if not, then he will join on Monday.’
Every word from Thomas Tuchel’s press conference, including…
? Christensen, Havertz, Kante injury updates
? Achievement of top-four finish
? Fans backing Timo Werner
? How pressure can be taken off #UCLfinal
