In the balance
Zinedine Zidane’s men are of course set to return to action tomorrow night.
After Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain face off in the first of two Champions League semi-final 2nd-legs shortly, Real Madrid and Chelsea will do likewise at Stamford Bridge.
The tie sits on a knife-edge as things stand, on the back of a 1-1 stalemate in the opener between the sides last week.
After Christian Pulisic handed Chelsea a deserved early advantage, Karim Benzema continued his scintillating spell of recent form with a Blancos equaliser on the half-hour mark:

Hazard latest
As such, ahead of what will no doubt go on to prove a pulsating 90 minutes of action in west London in 24 hours’ time, a spot in the Champions League final remains very much up for grabs.
And, on Tuesday evening, an insight into one significant change set to be put in place by the visitors has been forthcoming.
As per a report from the reliable Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, Eden Hazard will be inserted into Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI to face Chelsea.
The Belgian, on the back of a lengthy spell out of action, was of course introduced from the bench in the Spanish capital last week, and impressed in adding some much needed creativity to Real’s frontline.
In turn, the 30-year-old is in line to feature from the off at his former stomping ground on Wednesday, adding further spice to an already tantalising occasion.

In a further boost for Los Blancos, meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that Marcelo travelled with the rest of Zidane’s squad to England earlier today.
The Brazilian’s participation at Stamford Bridge was thrown up in the air in bizarre circumstances last week, when it was revealed that he had been selected for duties relating to the local election in Madrid.
After appearing this morning, though, Marcelo was since released to catch his flight, and could also start tomorrow night, if Ferland Mendy fails to sufficiently recover.
