Donyell Malen is emerging as a target of Premier League outfit Liverpool, according to reports.

Who is Donyell Malen?
Malen joined PSV back in 2018, moving from Arsenal’s youth ranks to theirs.
Malen, still only 22, was fairly young when he returned to the Netherlands, and spent some time honing his craft with PSV’s under-21s.
However, he was eventually handed a chance to impress in the Eredivisie and he has not disappointed.
All told, the centre-forward has managed to notch 55 goals and 24 assists across all competitions for the Rood-witten.
Malen’s 2020/21 was particularly impressive, with the forward finding the net 27 times and providing 10 assists in 45 outings across all competitions, including five goals and one assist in the Europa League.
Such fine form saw him named in Netherlands’ Euro 2020 squad, with the forward already providing two assists for the Oranje at the tournament.

Liverpool eyeing Malen
Now, as mentioned above, Malen appears to be attracting the interest of a top side.
According to a recent report from the Mirror, Malen has rapidly emerged as Liverpool’s primary transfer target as Jurgen Klopp prepares to strengthen his attack ahead of 2021/22.
Malen is a centre-forward by trade, suggesting that he would be a replacement/back-up to Roberto Firmino, whose goalscoring form was pretty poor during the previous campaign.
However, Malen can also play on both the left and right-wing, suggesting he could also provide cover for both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah if needed.
PSV are said to want a fee of £27m for Malen, with it claimed Liverpool have entered talks over a transfer.
It is also speculated that Malen’s arrival at Anfield could raise questions over the futures of both Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri.
