Majouga discovered the L1 this season

“I started playing football at the age of 5 in a small club near my home. The Toulouse-Montaudran “, he explains to us before adding: “Arrived in U11, I joined the TFC a bit by chance. I was told to go try it out. I took the tests like everyone else and they kept me. I went through all categories until U16. The club had decided not to keep me. As soon as they knew it was over with the TFC, Nîmes Olympique approached me and had me try out the following week. They knew me because they had already seen some matches against them in the league and in friendly. When they offered to stay, I said yes directly ”.

Among the Crocs, the native of Toulouse continued his training while building on an already solid base. “I can play pretty much anywhere in front. To the right, to the left, in a point. I am a fast and powerful attacker. But I think I can still improve myself technically, in my relationship with others and be more killer in front of goal ”. For this, he takes example from already confirmed players. “I take inspiration from everyone. I like Marcus Rashford, Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé. These are players who are the same register as mine “. To reach this level, Marco Majouga works and learns.

A future in question

The 19-year-old (he will be 20 on May 9) has notably been able to do so with the pro squad this season. “I was with the professional group for six to seven months. I have been on the bench twelve times and made seven starts (in L1) ”. To this must be added an appearance in the Coupe de France against Nice on February 10. Since then, he has not had the opportunity to speak with the pros. “At the moment, I am with the reserve. After tasting the professional group, it is difficult and frustrating. We want to be there all the time. Especially since I felt pretty good on the pitch. It’s frustrating. With the reserve, the championship stopped so it’s complicated not to be able to play anymore ”.

Fan of the Premier League, the player therefore takes his troubles patiently, he who is still waiting to receive a first professional contract. “I’m waiting to see how it goes. At the moment, I have no idea whether there will be any possibilities. We can not know at all, given the situation of the club. We do not yet know what the needs are. I live day by day. I want to stay and help the team ”. A clear position on the part of a player who nevertheless has requests elsewhere. “For the moment, I don’t listen too much”, admits the one who has a very pronounced personality. “When you know me, you know I’m funny, sociable, kind and easy going.
