Brighton vs West Ham
Saturday’s Premier League action draws to a close down south as Brighton play host to West Ham.
Despite losing their last tie, Brighton have secured their Premier League status for another campaign after Fulham were confirmed as the final side to be relegated back down to the Championship.
This, of course, means Brighton do not have much left to play for this term other than pride.
West Ham, though, really need to pick up a win this weekend at the Amex.
For much of the campaign, West Ham looked as though they had an outside chance of securing Champions League football for next season.
Now, though, the Hammers are in danger of slipping out of the top-six completely.
After Liverpool’s win over Manchester United on Thursday, West Ham have now been dropped down to 6th in the league with three games to play.
Tottenham are also only behind them by two points, with Everton only three points adrift of the Londoners.
David Moyes provides West Ham team news update
Ahead of what is a must-win tie, David Moyes held his latest pre-match press conference on Friday.
When doing so, the Scotsman would provide a team news update on his side.
Moyes, though, opted to remain rather coy when discussing potential returns.
The West Ham boss did say Declan Rice and Aaron Creswell’s chances of returning are the same, but he did not actually say how well either are doing:
“Some of them are doing well, some of them aren’t doing so well, but I’m hoping to get some of them back for the game.
“I’d rate Dec’s chances the same as Cresswell, Ogbonna and the rest of them. I wouldn’t want to give anything away.”
