Roy Hodgson steps down
Roy Hodgson took the reins at Crystal Palace in September of 2017.
Hodgson took over a Palace side who had lost their first four games of the season, whilst having failed to score a single goal under Frank De Boer.
Despite their awful start, though, Hodgson was able to guide the Eagles to a pretty comfortable 11th place Premier League finish that term.
The former England boss also set a record, as Palace became the first Premier League club to survive relegation after losing their opening seven games.
The following campaign then saw Hodgson set another record, this time a Palace one, as he guided the Londoners to 49 points, their highest PL total in a 38-game season.
Safety was also achieved fairly comfortably in both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns.
However, Hodgson would then step down as Palace boss at the end of this past season:
After nearly four years of managing his boyhood club, Roy Hodgson will be stepping down as our manager at the end of this season.
Thank you for everything, Roy ❤️?

Nuno not joining Palace
Palace were then, of course, left with the task of finding a new manager.
Anyone who takes over at Selhurst Park will no doubt be well aware of the huge job facing them.
The Eagles have a fairly old squad, with a lot of players out of contract this month.
Starman Wilfried Zaha has also once again reiterated his desire to leave, whilst Eberechi Eze recently suffered an injury that could rule him out well into next season.
The man believed to be being brought in to deal with all of these issues was former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
Sky Sports even claimed on Tuesday evening that Palace were close to appointing the Portuguese.
However, the news emerging on Wednesday morning is that those talks have now broken down.
The Daily Mail report that Palace are walking away from Nuno due to concerns over his demands.
The DM go on to explain that the fact Wolves only finished a point above Palace last term was a key factor behind why the latter refused to meet a set of new stipulations made by Nuno on Tuesday.
Crystal Palace walk away from their pursuit to appoint Nuno Espírito Santo as their new manager. Deal was virtually done but a set of fresh demands has resulted in Palace ending their interest. https://t.co/SN5VY4Ha2x
