It has been reported on Sunday that Chelsea will offer N’Golo Kante a new contract.

Kante continues to shine
Kante would join Chelsea in 2016, departing Leicester City who he helped win their first-ever Premier League title.
Kante has since been a key cog in the Blues’ midfield, despite some injury issues.
The midfielder has featured 218 times for France, scoring 11, assisting 10 and playing key roles in Chelsea winning the league title and, of course, the 2020/21 Champions League.
On the back of his starring showing for Chelsea in this past season’s Champions League, former Manchester United man Louis Saha believes Kante deserves to win the Ballon d’Or:
When asked if Kante can win the Ballon d’Or, Saha stated:
“If he did, I believe he would deserve it
“There is no player, not even Cristiano Ronaldo or [Lionel] Messi, that has been man of the match in both legs of the Champions League semi-final and final.
“Dominating the midfield alone whilst at the same time helping players moving forward. Going forward he was just a force. I haven’t seen anyone do anything like that.”
Chelsea to offer Kante new deal
Now, as mentioned above, Kante’s fine form looks set to be rewarded with a fresh contract from Chelsea.
The 30-year-old still has another two years to run on his current contract with the Londoners.
But Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Chelsea will offer Kante a new contract and are planning to open negotiations in the next months.
It is added there is no rush as the relationship with Kante is great:

He wanted to stay last summer after some ‘complicated’ weeks and two bids received, Chelsea want to reward Kanté.
