The giants of the Premier League have today been put on alert, after in-demand West Ham United star Declan Rice opted to reject the club’s latest contract renewal offer.

Irons concern
The future of deep-lying midfielder Rice has of course been thrown back up in the air this summer.
This comes with the 22-year-old, on the back of a stellar campaign at club level which saw him guide West Ham back into Europe, having continued to shine with England at Euro 2020.
Rice has featured from the off in all four of the Three Lions’ outings to date, affording Gareth Southgate’s host of attacking stars the freedom to express themselves further forward, courtesy of an impressive blend of stamina, tacking ability and reading of the game.

Such traits, when combined with his age and room for growth, have of course long seen Rice named as a target for some of English football’s biggest clubs.
This summer alone has seen both Manchester United and Chelsea hotly tipped to launch an assault for the London native, with Blues boss Thomas Tuchel rumoured to be particularly keen on his signing.
And, as outlined above, if the latest word doing the rounds in the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then any and all of Rice’s suitors have been handed a major boost.
This comes in the form of confirmation that the midfielder has rejected not one, but two contract offers on the part of West Ham.
Not only that, but Rice is said to have made clear to his employers that he wants to be kept in the loop when it comes to proposals for his signature.

‘Reflect his ability’
Further insight into the situation, meanwhile, has since been forthcoming on social media. The update comes courtesy of Twitter user ExWHUemployee, generally regarded as highly reliable when it comes to all things West Ham.
And the Hammers ITK has suggested that Rice’s reluctance to commit to the fresh terms offered to him shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
This comes with the latest proposal on the part of the board at the London Stadium having bizarrely been worth less, in terms of per week wages, than is currently earned by the out of favour Andriy Yarmolenko.
The information about Rice is true. This is because the contract offers have been below what Yarmolenko is currently on, what Hernandez was on and other well paid players. For the player to stay at the club and turn down big moves the pay needs to reflect his ability
