According to a report from RMC Sport, the highly-rated Eduardo Camavinga is set to hold talks with Manchester United about a potential move to the Premier League this summer.

With just one year left on his current deal, it is widely expected that the talented Frenchman will leave his current club Rennes this summer. The 18-year-old has already muscled his way into the French side, making three appearances for Didier Deschamps’ side.
However, Camavinga was overlooked for France’s Euro2020 squad, being chosen for the U21 European Championship finals instead, where they crashed out in their first game.
Nevertheless, the midfielder remains incredibly highly rated across Europe, with top clubs across all five leagues thought to be interested in the teenager.
Camavinga has already made 82 appearances for Rennes, but it is thought that he is keen to move to a new, bigger club as he seeks to fill his immense potential.

Two clubs in the race
One club that he will not be joining, as per Fabrizio Romano, is Arsenal. The Italian journalist reports that “there’s nothing, not even talks”, between Camavinga and the North London club. It seems likely that the teenager is aiming higher with his ambitions, with Mikel Arteta’s side unable to offer any form of European football.

By contrast, PSG and Manchester United can both offer Champions League football, although both are seemingly well-stocked in central midfield.
The Parisians have just added Gorginio Wijnaldum to their cadre of players who can play in the centre of the park, which includes Idrissa Gueye, Leandro Paredes, Danilo Perreira and Marco Verratti.
Manchester United added Donny Van De Beek to their midfield last season, but the Dutchman has struggled for game time, behind Paul Pogba, Scott McTominay, Fred and even Nemanja Matic in Ole Gunnar Solskjear’s pecking order.
While both sides are well stocked, then, when a talent of Camavinga’s size is available, it is often impossible to overlook it.
As a result, expect both sides to fight hard for his signature.
