Eriksen suffered ‘cardiac arrest’
Danish team doctor Morten Boesen confirmed that Christian Eriksen did indeed suffer a cardiac arrest in the game between Denmark and Finland.
“He was gone. We did cardiac resuscitation, it was a cardiac arrest,” said Boesen.
“How close were we to losing him? I don’t know, but we got him back after one defib [defibrillation] so that’s quite fast.
“The examinations that have been done so far look fine. We don’t have an explanation to why it happened.”
Positively the exam results so far show nothing concerning for Eriksen.
It was a moment of unity amongst football fans, experiencing emotions of hope and fear for Eriksen’s well-being.
However, a minor incident which followed in the UK has seen some disgusting images come forth.
Boy arrested for smashing defibrillator kit
A boy has been arrested after found to have smashed a defibrillator kit owned by Buxted FC just hours after Eriksen’s collapse.
Buxted posted the footage caught on CCTV to their Twitter account where it gained much attention.

The BBC now reports that a 17-year-old has been arrested in relation to the crime.
Richard Turner the club’s chairman said that funds would have to be raised to replace it as Buxted is run by volunteers.
“Everyone at the club is a volunteer, we work hard for what we’ve got, but now we’ll have to raise funds to replace it.”
The timing of the incident is most insidious. Having witnessed Eriksen fight for his life, needing the help of a defibrillator, seeing what can only be described as an evil action in the wake of the incident is truly sickening.
Buxted tweeted thanking people for the support and hope a replacement machine will soon be purchased.
We can’t thank you enough for the retweets, comments and likes. The reaction has been incredible. Fingers crossed it won’t be long before the two people in the video are caught and we can get a replacement defibrillator fitted
