“The hero Macron is our logo which represents the fighting spirit, this passion and determination to achieve a goal, as well as the exuberance of winning a challenge. This is why I see our two brands aligned, because these same characteristics are inherent in this club with a history as immense as the Blackburn Rovers ”, reports Gianluca Pavanello, president of Macron. Heroes, the supporters of the Rovers have indeed known more than one. Despite complicated seasons in the second division, the club founded in 1875 won 3 Premier League, including one in 1995.
“We are delighted to be part of the Macron family. They have an impressive portfolio of clubs, including some big competitors of ours in the Championship ”says club president Steve Waggott in the press release. As a reminder, the Bologna-based equipment manufacturer is in partnership with Lazio Rome, Sporting Portugal or even OGC Nice.
This new partnership begins on July 1, 2021 and runs until the end of the 2025-2026 season. It will allow Blackburn to ensure interesting economic benefits for 5 seasons, hoping to be back in the English elite by then.
