Arsenal wrapping up renewals
One of the biggest failings of Arsenal during the Emirates era was hanging onto some of their top players such as Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie.
Arsene Wenger sold these players to make significant money to pay back the debt of the stadium and yet kept his side competitive in the top 4 of the English top flight.
Fast forward to 2021 and whilst Arsenal are certainly far away from the days of being an established top 4 team, they are no longer seeing their best talents leave.
Recruitment has been the failing. Unable to bring in the best from the world and within the league has seen money spent on the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe who have so far failed to return the Gunners to the Champions League.
However, as the club looks to move in the right direction, deals for young players has been key.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Folarin Balogun are now on new long-term improved contracts to keep them away from the prying eyes of competitors.
Yesterday the club also managed to tie down Kieran Tierney to a new contract.

There is also hope that Emile Smith-Rowe will soon sign an extension too.

However, they haven’t been able to keep everyone despite this good work
Star youngster set for leave
Daniel Oyegoke was involved with the first team squad in the 2020 preseason and was an appreciated asset of the club.
He arrived in 2017 from Barnet, and made his debut for the under 18 side despite being eligible for the under 15s.
However, Goal reporter Charles Watts has said that the club are surprised that Oyegoke has decided not to accept a new pro deal. The defender instead looks set to join Brentford.

Arsenal are facing a similar possibility with Kido Taylor-Hart whose deal also expires this summer.
Arsenal will now look to ensure that these scenarios are not repeated.
The Gunners are expecting to see many youngster again leave the club on loan to gain valuable senior experience ahead of a possibly promising career with the north London side.
