Baggies showdown
Mikel Arteta’s men are set to return to domestic action tomorrow night.
The Gunners will welcome West Brom to the Emirates, for a Premier League clash.
The matchup, in truth, is of little importance to either side, with Arsenal’s top-6 hopes dead in the water, and Sam Allardyce’s Baggies long destined for the Championship.
Mikel Arteta, though, will nevertheless guide his side into Sunday’s action with all three points very much on the agenda.
This comes with the Spaniard of course fighting for his future, on the back of an embarrassing exit from Europe in midweek.
Arsenal welcomed former boss Unai Emery’s Villarreal to north London, aiming to bounce back from a first-leg defeat in their Europa League semi-final showdown with the La Liga outfit.
When all was said and done, however, the Gunners fell short, bringing a definitive end to their hopes of securing a Champions League return for next season.

Mari ruled out
In turn, Arteta will no doubt be keen to have as many of his key performers as possible at his disposal on Sunday.
If the latest word stemming from the treatment table at the Emirates is anything to go by, however, then the Arsenal boss, at the very least, looks set to be without a trio of stars.
As revealed in a post across the club’s social media platforms this evening, all of David Luiz, Pablo Mari and Granit Xhaka will be unavailable to face West Brom:
David Luiz
Left hamstring. David has made very good progress since sustaining the injury at Newcastle last Sunday.
David will continue his rehabilitation over the next week.
Pablo Mari
Right ankle. Pablo sprained his right ankle during Thursday’s match.
Pablo is not available for Sunday’s match, but aims to rejoin training next week.
Granit Xhaka
Left groin. Granit missed Thursday’s match after sustaining a strain to the groin.
Granit is not available for Sunday’s match. He will continue to be assessed and rehabilitate the injury with the medical team over the next few days.
