An insight into the summer transfer plans of Arsenal has been provided recently.

Arsenal need a rebuild
Despite an FA Cup and Community Shield win during his first season at the club, Arsenal’s decline has continued under Mikel Arteta’s management.
The Gunners are languishing in midtable in the Premier League and look set to miss out on European football for the first time since before Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal, to stop their ongoing decline, have been undergoing something of a rebuild over the last year or so, as they attempt to fix years and years of poor decisions on the transfer front.
Players such as Mesut Ozil, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis have already been shifted out in an attempt to remove some deadwood from the squad, whilst there have been some promising players brought in of late, including Gabriel and Thomas Partey.
That rebuild, though, does not look to be over yet.
Arsenal looking to improve five areas
And, even though Arsenal look set to be without Europa League or Champions League football next term, they do seem to be plotting for a fairly busy summer transfer window.
According to football.london, Arsenal will be in the market to sign players in at least five positions this summer.
The positions Arsenal are said to be looking to strengthen are, a back-up to Bernd Leno, back-up to Kieran Tierney, a new right-back, a central attacking midfielder and a central midfielder.
Arsenal will be looking to add to their side in multiple positions this summer.
