Manchester City’s Premier League title being confirmed has since seen a series of remarkable statistics surrounding hitman Sergio Aguero come to the fore online.

Citizens crowned
Pep Guardiola’s men were not actually in action tonight.
However, the Sky Blues were aware that, if Manchester United failed to secure a positive result at home to Leicester, their status as champions for the 3rd time in five years would be made official.
In turn, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to heavily rotate his starting XI, ahead of the Red Devils’ meeting with Liverpool on Thursday, excitement began to mount amongst the City faithful.
And Leicester, when all was said and done, indeed went on to get the better of their almost unrecognisable hosts at Old Trafford, courtesy of strikes from Luke Thomas and Caglar Soyuncu:

As a result, Manchester United can no longer mathematically catch their table-topping neighbours in the English top-flight, with City having officially been crowned as 2020/21 Premier League champions.
The celebrations have already gotten underway at the Etihad, ahead of what is no doubt set to prove a long night on the blue half of Manchester:

Aguero the record breaker
Whilst City’s latest title will of course prove a special one for each and every member of Pep Guardiola’s squad, though, as outlined above, it has proven particularly momentous for the club’s longest-serving star.
The player in question? Sergio Aguero.
Argentine hitman Aguero is of course set to depart the Etihad this summer, upon the expiration of his contract.
Before doing so, though, the 32-year-old has this evening secured for himself an iconic piece of club history.
As revealed by ESPN, Man City’s latest Premier League triumph has seen Aguero officially overtake David Silva as the most decorated player in Citizens history:

Not only that, but the Argentine has also established himself as the most successful non-European in the storied history of the Premier League:
